Guinea Grove Farm is a family owned and operated farm producing beautiful fresh extra virgin olive oil and Australia’s only biodynamic certified saffron spice.
The farm is located just 8 km north of Gingin nestled in rolling hills and boarded by state forests. The region benefits from a warm Mediterranean climate perfect for growing olives and saffron.
We are passionate about sustainable farming and use a holistic approach working with the soil, plants and animals. The whole farm is certified Biodynamic by NASAA.
To ensure premium oil quality we have managed the development of the olive grove ourselves from inception in 1998. We now have some 2,500 olive trees of Italian, Greek and Spanish varieties. The entire olive oil making process is managed on farm, from harvesting and processing, to bottling, labeling and marketing. The reward is that our oils have consistently been winning awards at shows since 2006. Our product range includes extra virgin olive oils from ‘mild and fruity’ to more ‘robust and peppery’ along with our very popular flavoured olive oils created in the ‘Agrumato style’ by crushing with Lemons, Limes, Oranges, Garlic, Rosemary, hot Chilli and the latest world’s hottest Chilli!
In 2009 we planted our first saffron crocus bulbs and they have been steadily multiplying. The spice is made from drying the stigmas of the flower with some 150,000 flowers needed to produce 1kg of saffron; our harvest is still measured in grams! As for the olive oil we manage the entire spice making process on farm.
