Exploring what ‘Buy Local’ means to consumers

 

If you regularly shop at the farmers market to buy locally grown or made products, we would like to invite you to participate in an interview about your consumer experiences.

It is anticipated that the interview will take no longer than two hours. You will receive $60 in cash for participating in the interview. The interviews will be held from now until February 2012 at a time and location that suits you.

No interview experience is necessary. To register your interest in participating in an interview about your ‘Buy Local’ consumer experiences, please email Trish Collins at trish.collins@uwa.edu.au with your name, return email and telephone number.

This year at Subi Farmers Market we will be hosting a Twilight Market on the 23rd of Dec. The market will run from 4.00 – 8.00pm and makes for a perfect time to pick up all your fresh produce for your festive table.

Buy all your meat, eggs, fruit, vegies, bread, baked goods and much much more. Come down and join us with your friends and family, enjoy a wonderful evening out, with plenty of entertainment from Spoonful of Sugar and Minky G. Grab some dinner, sit back and relax.

Last week the SFM hosted another successful Christmas Gift Market. We were joined by some of Perth’s best artisans, bringing some of the most unique gifts to Subi. We were spoiled with amazing handcrafted pieces from jewellery, clothing, art, cards, accessories and gourmet hampers. Joining us were Fair Trade WA, who as always delivered top quality gifts for everyone to buy, the best part being that all their profits go to helping those in developing countries. 

Along with all the fab gifts, our customers were able to shop for all there favourite fresh produce. From Perth’s best fruit & vegie to baked goods, meat, fish, eggs, xmas goodies and much more.

The market was a great success and all who attended had a fantastic time. See you next year with bells on!
