Local Italian Chef entertains kids this week at Subi Farmers Market

We are excited to have a local chef coming to the Subi Farmers Market this week – 14th November – offering ‘entertainment’ & to interact with the kids.

As part of our link to the business community – we offer the opportunity to local businesses to use our Demonstration Stall at various times – either to showcase their talent, promote their skills or ideas or offer  information about what’s on offer in the locality.

We are kicking off our first week of the Demo Stand with a taste of Italy with the delightful & effervescent Alessandro Croci from Freccia Gastronome of Subiaco. The idea is to educate, entertain & feed the kids all at the same time – a tough gig! He will be showing how his home-made pasta & pizzas are made – in the traditional method from his hometown of Lake Como in Northern Italy & getting kids hands on & involved in the process – they will have the chance to shape the dough & could get quite messy!

At Subi Farmers Market we’re passionate about getting the message out there about eating fresh, wholesome & natural food – & what better way than by involving kids at a hands on level. WA has a fabulous variety of fresh, quality produce & this is a great way to see how it can be used in a simple & tasty way.

Over the coming months – many different chefs, cooks, gardeners, health experts & the like will be appearing at the Subi Farmers Market – there will be something for everyone & it all adds to the atmosphere of the Community Meeting place this market is becoming.

Come down & join in the fun this Saturday – great food, great fun & great flavour!

Thanks for your wonderful pasta-making demonstration Alessandro. Our five-year old daughter Grace loved making spaghetti with you, and after making it, was so enthusiastic about eating it all up, although she was kind enough to let her little brother and parents have a taste. Thanks again!
